PRAYER FOR SOUTH AFRICA: CHILDREN AND GRANDCHILDREN

 

Dearest Father, Jesus, Holy Spirit

Thank You for a great morning and a lot of grace out of Your hand. You are the ONLY LIVING GOD IN THE UNIVERSE and I love You very much!

1. This morning I pray for our children and grandchildren (Steph children and children-in-law included )

2. I pray that You send peace to parents, children, and grandchildren that had a fight and is not talking to each other.

3. Please touch their hearts so that they would make peace.

4. Please hold Your hand of protection over our children and grandchildren in South Africa.

5. Keep them on the straight and narrow road of serving You and never let them slip out of Your hand.

6. If one of them does not serve You, I pray that You will follow him or her until he/she give their heart to You.

7. I pray that You will work in the hearts of our children or grandchildren that are abusing alcohol and drugs.

8. Only You can change their heart, mind, body, and soul and draw them back to You.

9. Please pull a blanket of protection, in the Name of Jesus, over them wherever they are.

10. Please place 4 angels, one on each corner, of the place they are living in to protect them.

11. Protect their (Your) property and keep them safe when they drive somewhere.

12. Oh Lord, please do not let our children and grandchildren go astray.  Touch them to serve You with their whole heart.

13. I beg of You to never ever forget about our children and grandchildren – even when we are gone.

14. Gather out children and grandchildren under Your wings - like a mother hen gathers her chicks.

15. Pour Your mercy, grace, and goodness out over our children and grandchildren.

16. For those that do not have work – please provide for them in a miraculous way.

17. You know every need that our children and grandchildren have.

18. Oh Lord, please answer their needs – especially the urgent ones.

19. Enfold them with Your love, Your mercy, Your peace that surpasses all understanding.

20. Fill their mind, soul, body and being with Your fruit of the Spirit Lord.

21. Master, please put the armor of God on for every child and grandchild in South Africa.

22. Lion of Judah, guard over our children and grandchildren and fight for them where it is necessary.

23. Do not let the devil steal from one of our children and grandchildren.  Keep them covered under Your blood.

24. Refrain their feet, hands, and minds from doing wrong things.

25. Protect them from people with evil minds, people that want to break up their marriage.

26. Open their eyes to see dangers well before the time and prepared them to fight against that.

27. Help every father and mother in South Africa to be in constant prayer for all children and grandchildren in South Africa.

28. Protect our grandchildren from bullies, people that sell drugs, rape, and wrong friends.

29. Oh Father, please take the ownership of every child and grandchild in South Africa.

30. Work in their hearts so that they will read the Bible and pray. (The family that prays together stays together.)

31. I pick every child and grandchild in South Africa up and walk with them into Your throne room.

32. I place them on Your lap. Please look after them Lord, because You can do it the best!!!

33. Thank You that You will watch over them forever and will never let go of one of them!

I ask everything in the mighty Name, blood, and Cross of Jesus. I love You with my whole heart!

PRAYER FOR SOUTH AFRICA: UNSAVED

Dearest Father, Jesus, Holy Spirit

Thank You for Your death on the cross Jesus!  Thank You that You died for the sins of the whole world!  But thank You most of all that You rose from the death to be the only LIVING GOD IN THE UNIVERSE!!! Hallelujah!  Receive all the praise from my heart.

1. This morning I want to pray for all the unsaved people of South Africa.

2. We are supposed to be a Christian land Lord, but I think there is more unsaved people in South Africa than saved people.

3. Most people think they are saved, but never even commit to You.

4. I want to stand in the gap for the unsaved people of South Africa this morning.

5. Have mercy on each one of them this morning.

6. Please move over South Africa, from coast to coast and touch every unsaved person so that they would give their hearts to You.

7. Let them realize that Your grace is sufficient for them.

8. Open the eyes of people that go to churches that is not from You, but from the devil.

9. Let them run out of these churches and rather pray and read Bible at their own homes.

10. Oh Lord, please open the eyes of every unsaved person so that they will realize that they are sinners, that they will see that they are bad and give their hearts to You.

11. I pray that You touch every person in South Africa, that ever has been prayed for by someone, so that they will find their way to You.

12. Send us Your revival like the Hiroshima bomb, touching down in one place and spreading over the whole of South Africa.

13. I beg of You to touch every sinner in South Africa with Your Spirit, not because we are wonderful, but because Your grace and mercy is so great.

14. I pray for those that did give their hearts to You, but slid away from You.

17. Oh Lord, let us return to You, read Your word, spend time in prayer.

18. I beg of You to have mercy on South Africa and all its people.

19. Lead all of us in South Africa back to You please Lord.  This is the only way we are going to be able to cope in South Africa.

20. Touch Your committed children of God to pray more, to spend more time with You so that we can pray for South Africa and all the people here.

21. If we, as Your children, has done our jobs as disciples right, we wouldn’t have been in this disastrous situation.

22. Help all Your children to stand up for You, to pray like never before, to do things for people that would turn other’s around to You.

23. O Master, forgive us as Your children for not doing a good job.

24. Teach us to do Your will here on earth so that more and more people will see You and give their hearts to You.

25. Lord, have mercy on South Africa and please follow every unsaved person until they give their hearts to You.

26. Please do not be the Gentleman You are and give them a chance to decide whether they want to serve You.

27. Hit all of us in this beautiful country with Your revival so that we will have one heart, one Father, one Master we serve.

28. Thank You that You are listening to this prayer.

29. Thank You that You care about every person in South Africa and that You will never forget about us.

30. Thank You that Your grace is sufficient for us!!

QUIET TIME WITH THE LORD

Church is very important for people to have interactions with each other, but I believe that your quiet time with the Lord is the most important.

Why? you may ask.  Because in your quiet time with the Lord, you grow nearer to God and build a relationship with Him.  The church is not your paved way to heaven, but your relationship with God is.

WHAT ITEMS MUST YOU HAVE FOR YOUR QUIET TIME WITH GOD?

• Bible
• Pen
• Notebook
• Journal book
• Christian music

Here are a few simple steps to help you with your special time with God:

SPEND TIME WITH GOD EACH DAY

It is very important that you establish a specific time to spend time with God.  It can be in the morning or the evening.  This depends totally on your preference.  I prefer to have my quiet time early in the mornings, because my whole family is asleep and I have all the time in the world to talk to God and learn from Him.

WHAT DO I DO IN THIS TIME WITH GOD?

This is your time to pray and study the Bible - and get quiet before the Lord so that He can talk to you!!

LISTEN TO CHRISTIAN MUSIC

You can start your quiet time with beautiful Christian music, just to align your spirit for prayer.   You can go to this URL on you tube to find 7 hours of Christian music.

This is just to get you in the mood for prayer and your quiet time with God.  If you want to, you can play this music softly in the background whilst praying or just stop it if it is a distraction.

READ THE BIBLE

Pray before you start to read the Bible and ask God to teach You from His Word.  Start to read the Bible from the New Testament. (I think it is just a little more practical!  It will give you the do's and don’ts and is a little bit more practical advice on daily matters.)  When you have finished to read the New Testament, start to read the Old Testament. Take only one chapter or a few verses every day, but read them with intense focus.  Be quiet before God to hear if He is speaking to you from this specific part of the Bible. You will be surprised sometimes, because certain verses will speak to your situation directly.

PRAY

For some reason people think that they don’t know the perfect words and the perfect phrases to pray.  They think they have to use mighty and powerful words to pray.  They believe a prayer has to sound like a poem, and they just cannot do that.

This is not what prayer is all about.  Prayer is just talking to God, like He is your best Friend.  If you are going to talk to your best friend, will you say something like?
Oh dearest, most wonderful, more precious than words Paula?
No, you would not say that.  You’ll probably say something like:  Morning Paula.  It is so great to see you?

But… we are now talking to God, the Creator of heaven, earth and the cosmos. So, you could most probably start with something like:

Dear Father
Or… like I do:
Dearest Father, Jesus and Holy Spirit.

There is no right or wrong way!!  But… you have to have respect for God, so the way you start your prayer is important.

EXAMPLE:

Let’s say you are praying about your finances.  If it was me, this would probably be an example of the prayer I would be praying (just in short)

Dearest Father, Jesus and Holy Spirit

Thank You for a wonderful morning and that You have protected me through the night.  I love you very much.

Lord, I want to pray for my finances today.  You know how hectic my finances are, that I do not know where my money is going to.  Please help me to sort my finances out!  Please help me to make a budget and to spend my money wisely. You know that we do not have a lot of groceries left.  Please Lord stretch our groceries and our money till the end of the month!  I place this money problem in Your hand my King, because only You are able to sort it out for me.  I ask everything in the Name of Jesus!  Amen

So?  Was that difficult?  No, not at all!  You just talked to God and poured your heart out! Prayer is not difficult.  Prayer is just talking to your best, and only TRUE FRIEND in the universe!  In prayer, you must become childlike.  If a child prays and want a bicycle they would probably say something like this:

Jesus, can I please have that red bicycle I saw in the window for my birthday?  It is the coolest bike ever! I promise I will drive very carefully with it!

A child’s prayer is honest, open and without pretention.  This is how God want us to pray!!

If you look at Matthew 6, where Jesus taught about prayer, you would also see that the prayer was plain and simple:

Matthew 6:9-13 (NIV)
” Our Father in heaven, hallowed be Your Name. Your kingdom come, your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.  Give us today our daily bread.  Forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors.  And lead us not into temptation but deliver us from the evil one.” ……

It was a plain and simple prayer.  There were no big and poetic words, just normal words that you will speak in daily life.  So… here is the good news:  if you can talk to a friend, you can pray!

May this simple explanation help you to feel more comfortable in your prayer life and to be childlike and honest before God!!  God is pleased with an open and honest prayer!!!

BE STILL

It is very important to become still before God.  We pray so much that we do not give God a chance to speak to us.
You will see that I included a list of things you will need in your quiet time. One of them is a notebook.  The devil tries to steal from us when we spend time with God.  Once you become quiet, a lot of things will cross your mind – things you still have to do.  Quickly write them in the notebook and continue to be quiet before the Lord.  When you become quite a verse will most probably pop into Your head.  Open your Bible and read that verse. (You can jot this down in your journal book to refer to it – if you want to.)  It is astonishing what God can teach you from the Bible.
Sometimes you might hear a thought in your mind.  This can be God or not.  The devil would try to stop you in your tracts, because he doesn’t want you to have a relationship with God.  He will come to you with whole lies, half-truths, etc.  Do not let him get you off your path.
Remember:  God will never tell you to do bad things to people.  God and His Word is always uplifting and good!
(Example:  God will never tell you to have an affair with your neighbour’s wife.  But God may tell you to go and pray for your employer or neighbour.)
If you cannot find Scripture for the thought you have, rather discard the thought.  It will take time and commitment for you to become real still before God and hear His voice.  But it is also the most wonderful and uplifting time you will have with God!
May Father, Jesus and the Holy Spirit take your hand and teach you about your quiet time with Him!  May He bless your time with Him and help you to grow!!

PRAYER FOR SOUTH AFRICA: RELATIONSHIPS

Dearest Father, Jesus, Holy Spirit

Thank You for the wonderful rain all over South Africa.  Thank You for Your blessings every day and that You are a caring and loving Father and Friend.  I love You so much!

1. This morning I want to pray for relationships in South Africa.

2. I pray that You will heal racial relationships.

3. Let all of us in South Africa realize that we went through a lot and that we just have to walk forward.

4. I pray that You will break the spirit of hatred and bitterness against other races in the Name of Jesus in this country.

5. Help everyone with hatred against another race to realize that, IF THEY CANNOT FORGIVE, YOU CANNOT FORGIVE THEM.

6. Oh Lord, help us all to realize that, if we hold something against another race, we stand the chance of not going to heaven!

7. Open our eyes, ears, heart so that we will hear Your voice, turn away from our destructive ways and start to love each other.

8. I pray for those that use the past to blow up racism and hatred toward other races.

9. Stop them in their tracks Lion of Judah!

10. Open the spiritual eyes of every person in South Africa to see how the devil is stealing from us and destroying our beautiful country whilst he is blinding us.

11. Lion of Judah, have mercy on us, and destroy hatred, bitterness and strife.

12. Replace it with Your fruit of the Spirit.

13. We have lost respect for each other in South Africa.

14. Because of the crime and tension in South Africa we became so selfish that we have forgotten about others.

15. I beg of You in agony and labour, that You will sweep over South Africa and restore respect for others in our hearts.

16. Help us to let the other man go first at the stop street, help the old lady with her groceries to the car, let someone older than us walk first at a door.

17. Oh my King, turn our selfishness into Your love – Your love that always gives, that always sacrifice, that always wants what is best for the other person.

18. We have lost love and dearness towards each other!

19. Please do not let the devil steal from us, but restore our love and dearness towards each other.

20. Sweep over South Africa touching every heart with Your fruit of the Spirit.

21. Help us to put others before us, to want to do good deeds, to want to be the best person You want us to be!

22. Help each one of us in South Africa to walk that extra mile with someone, not because we are forced, but because we want to.

23. Take away our fear, our anger, our agony, and replace it with You, Your love, Your kindness, Your goodness.

24. Your children were born for a time like this!

25. Pick us up Lord and help us to sow love, tenderness, gentleness and hope as far as we go.

26. Install in each of Your children a love so deep for any human being, that we cannot but do good deeds for others.

27. And if we do not know how we can help, let us just give Your hug to someone that is lonely and heartbroken!

28. Open Your children’s hearts, minds, souls and spiritual eyes, so that we will attend to Your flock here on earth.

29. Give each one of Your children supernatural energy, wisdom and discernment to know how to treat every person we meet along life’s road.

30. Let us not hesitate to do good deeds, but impress the importance of that in our hearts, minds, souls and bodies.

31. Restore South Africa back to Your Glory Lord!!!

32. Let us not only be the rainbow nation, but become one of the most loving and caring nations in the world!!!!

33. Only You can do it and we thank You for the changes that You will implement in South Africa.

34. All the honour, glory and power belongs to You Creator of heaven, earth and the cosmos!!
