PRAYER FOR SOUTH AFRICA: RELATIONSHIPS PARENTS AND CHILDREN
Dearest Father, Jesus, Holy Spirit
Thank You for Your mercy, grace, and
kindness! What will we be without You
our Bridegroom? We cannot live without
You and do not ever want to live without You.
1. I want to pray for
relationships between parents and children.
2.
The divorce rate has risen
severely in South Africa, leaving families battered.
3.
Oh Lord, my heart cries out for
every parent and child this morning!
4. So many things are trying
to steal the joy and peace in families – stress being the biggest.
5.
But technology has also become
one of the main factors, parting families in their own direction.
6.
And families are not praying
together anymore.
7.
Oh Lord, please restore
relationships between parents and their children.
8.
Let us realize that a
relationship between parents and children is the building block for the children’s
future and serving You.
9.
I plead with You that You will
help parents to realize they need to spend more time with their children –
especially in nature, or just a blanket in the backyard!
10. I pray that You will install in every South African the following:
the family that prays together stays together!
11. Daddy, please draw parents and children nearer to You, because that
is the only place where it is safe!
12. Please give parents the guts to spend time with their children,
without television and the interference from cell phones.
13. Build relationships in South Africa my King, I beg of You.
14. Step in where there are parents, children, and stepchildren and give
them all the wisdom to cope with each other.
15. Oh Lord, draw parents and children together in You!
16. Heal broken relationships and follow each one of them until they
give their hearts to You.
17. Do not leave one family out in South Africa but step in and turn
them around to serve You.
18. Only then will healing take place.
19. Oh Lord, heal broken relationships and clear up misunderstandings
and assumptions.
20. Proverbs 22:6, “Train up a child in the way he should go and
when he is old he will not depart from it” (English Standard Version).
21. Let this be the departure of
every parent and child Lord, because without Your Word children will not be
able to cope in the future.
22. I pray for families that have
already gone through a divorce.
23. Please take their hands Lord
and lead them back to You.
24. Let them realize that they
cannot live without You.
25. Please turn hearts around and
restore broken relationships, not for our sake, but for Your sake Lord.
26. Draw parents and children so
close to You, that they will see Your plan for their lives, and follow You in
everything they do.
I ask everything in the mighty Name of Jesus! Amen
